Bryan Hunt is currently a Humanities teacher and Dean of Students at Trinity School of Durham & Chapel Hill in North Carolina where he teaches American Studies, U.S. Government & Politics, Human Geography, and Model UN. He has been an educator for over 10 years in Texas, Uganda, and North Carolina. Bryan earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in History with a minor in Geography from Texas A&M University. During the past decade, he has designed history, geography, government, and economics learning experiences for students ranging from 6th grade to seniors in high school. As an enthusiastic supporter and practitioner of flipped learning, personalized learning, and blended learning, Bryan invests in like-minded opportunities such as the EdSurge Fusion conference (2018), the Athena Summer Fellowship (2018), and the Harvard Case Method Project (2019-2020). In addition to this, he continually keeps his finger on the pulse of progressive learning practices and thought leaders to share with students the most relevant preparation possible for the ever-changing, unpredictable world they will soon enter as adults. Moving forward, Bryan hopes that Socrates- Head of School will propel the fusion of modern learning needs at schools with both the forgotten educational wisdom from days gone by and cutting-edge ideas.
